In an interview a few years back, comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld talked about how he was kind of "cursed" because he was always looking into new material for his shows. That "curse" seems to have rubbed off on Tom Papa much more than any other guy who opened for Jerry over the years. To be fair, Tom may have been around Seinfeld the most, particularly during some of his best runs. You'd think that honor would go to someone like Jason Alexander, aka George Costanza, but he and Jerry have very different comedic styles. Yet, Tom Papa's is like Jerry's slightly more vulgar cousin. The reason why he's also cursed with the same issue is because he'll talk about anything on his sets!

That's one of the coolest things about these Tom Papa shows. You may have seen him a few years back talking about dogs and hunting, yet in Houston on Friday, March 21st, he might be letting you know why we're the fattest generation or how Disney isn't the happiest place on earth. Just kidding, he's got sets on those topics already, so they're likely off the table, but hopefully, the point was made. This man can get up on stage and talk about crayons and make those the best two hours of your life! Actually, it's sad to think that a middle-aged, balding dude with glasses could grant you the best two hours of your life, but hey, the man's that good.

This Tom Papa show is, without a doubt, one of the best comedy sets that will head to Houston all year. The seating arrangements at the 713 Music Hall can be a little trick for comedy shows. You might find yourself sitting off to the side without a clear view of the stage. Tom Papa is one of those comedians who does a lot of faces and voices. Knowing this, you might want to look for a centered position to have the best experience at this show.
