Somewhere... There's New Music!

CAAMP just unveiled their new EP "Somewhere" last February, featuring their new single "Let Things Go". The new song hit #10 on the Alternative Airplay chart. Showcasing growth on the new project, it's a change of direction from their fan-favorite LP "By & By" yet packs the same heart that every Caamp record has. New grooves in, fans have been loving the band's new bops.

Wanna know what fans think? Well, here's some responses from a Reddit discussion about their thoughts on the new EP:

  • "These songs make me want to curl up next to a fire on a cold winter night, so cozy," user ctz123 wrote.
  • "I love it. It feels very natural and fun for them. And who knows why they took such a long break but to me this sounds like they felt something," user BrettLando shared.

Marking their first release in three years, there's a lot more surprises expected to arrive as the band goes full-force on tour.

About the band

Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall formed the band while they were in Ohio University. The two met at a summer camp and became a full-fledged band as they brought in bassist Matt Vinson and Joseph Kavalec on keyboards. Recording their debut LP in a remote cabin, the world soon caught up with their honest & authentic folk bangers. Their succeeding album "By and By" marked the band's massive dominance in the folk scene. Its title tracks and "Peach Fuzz" became favorite anthems among folk listeners.

Since then, these fellas have been on non-stop tours and festival appearances. They've marched up the stage at the likes of Lollapalooza, Bonnaro, and the Newport Folk Festival.

Their music has been described as "nostalgic and soulful" by NPR, and every fan agrees that their magical blend of folk, raw vocals, and laidback instrumentation creates a dreamy soundscape. Likened by critics to legendary names such as Bob Dylan and Wood Guthrie, that's how you know their music is seriously good.

Heading "Somewhere", the big stage awaits. Witness Caamp's touring comeback this summer by booking your tickets now!
